Keep your pieces shining—wearing them helps them last!
Gold Filled
Gold filled jewelry is made by pressure-bonding a thick layer of 12K or 14K gold (at least 5% of the total weight) with a base metal of copper or brass. It has 100 times more gold than gold-plated items, making it more tarnish-resistant and water resistant. Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Gently clean with soapy water and a toothbrush. When not wearing, store in a dry sealed container (or resealable bag). Wearing your jewelry often also prevents tarnish!
Sterling Silver (.925 Silver)
Sterling silver is composed of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals for added strength. Over time, it may oxidize or tarnish when exposed to air and moisture, but it can be easily cleaned with a silver polishing cloth. Store in a dry, sealed container to minimize oxidation.
Solid Gold (10K, 14K, or 18K)
Solid gold is a precious metal alloy that does not tarnish and is safe for daily wear, even in water. It is made of pure gold mixed with small amounts of other metals for strength. Clean with mild soap and a soft cloth to maintain its shine.

Please note that solid gold pieces, sample sale items, customized, personalized, and engraved pieces are final sale and not eligible for exchange or return. Due to high shipping costs, we are unable to accept international exchanges or returns at this time.
I ordered gold but it looks more rose gold to me, so not really what I expected. I do think it looks a little cheap, and the engraving is a little thin compared to the picture. Under the ring the welding is obvious so it looks like it could break easily. It wasn’t a few dollars so I was excited to see them because the gift was very meaningful, but I was a little disappointed.
Hi Samantha, thanks for your feedback. Gold filled jewelry is made with a solid gold outer layer bonded over a base layer of copper/brass. With daily wear, the ring naturally polishes itself through contact with your skin and regular hand washing. Over time daily wear helps bring out more of the true yellow gold tone.
It’s also important to note that the color of gold filled pieces can vary slightly compared to other metal types like stainless steel, solid gold, vermeil, or gold-plated jewelry. Each material has its own distinct hue due to differences in composition and karat. The only way for you to color match your gold pieces is to get it in the same exact material and even then sometimes the color can vary slightly depending on the manufacturer.
In regards to the solder mark, this was noted on the product listing. The solder mark is visible but this is the only way to hand make gold filled rings. Also the mark does not mean it will break easily. We have been soldering gold filled rings for years and our rings do not break easily. Hope this helps clarify your concerns.
